Schatzi's, an Austrian word meaning sweetheart or darling, is a café restaurant situated in picturesque Woodend nestled in the heart of the Macedon Ranges. Established for over six years Schatzi's is now considered a destination in the hearts and minds of locals, and many others, who have continuously and immensely enjoyed the restaurant for a long time.

Schatzi's combines an Austrian influenced menu with modern country comfort food where our signature dishes include Lamb Shanks baked in rich tomato and juniper berry sauce and succulent Eye Fillet Steak topped with our famous caramelised onion hollandaise. A decadent crème Brulee or Profiteroles filled with liqueur infused custard cream will satisfy the most indulgent appetite and a cup of locally roasted Sacco coffee will warm the soul and compliment a satisfying dining experience. Schatzi's BYO licence allows you to bring along your favourite bottle of wine or other alcoholic beverages making Schatzi's an affordable luxury. Cosy booths, a candle lit room and personal service create an intimate ambience giving you a sense of dining at a friends place.

Schatzi's, a jewel in the centre of the Macedon Ranges, is less than an hours drive from Melbourne along the Calder Highway and half that time again from Melbourne Airport. Schatzi's is open seven days a week from 8am till late Monday to Saturday and 8am to 4pm Sunday.
